The device powers up the hard drives, I can see them as a USB device, but they are not presenting to the operating system in modern computers as a memory device or disk I have tried this on 2 XP machines and one windows 7 without any success. Hours trying to problem solve; finally got in to tech support hours after their stated available hours, rep swore up and down if the computer sees it, it’s not our fault; call the hard disk make very rude.
Had a NexStar hardware dock that gave up the ghost by not reading the ub-dsc5 harddisk, yet constantly trying to read the disk. I’ve never had any problems.
